Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 3, 2026

Please read these terms before using the website or making an enquiry about garment services.

1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Solqelarianessa website. The website provides information about clothing repairs, alterations, tailoring and custom sewing in Calgary, Alberta. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

The website is operated under the name Solqelarianessa Garment Services Inc. in 407 - 3rd Street SW, Calgary, Alberta T2P 4Z2, Canada.

2. Website information

We make reasonable efforts to keep descriptions, service information and contact details accurate. Website content is general information and does not constitute a binding quotation, a guarantee that a particular repair is possible, or confirmation that a fitting or service appointment is available.

Fabric condition, previous repairs, construction methods, material availability and the requested finish can affect what work is practical. A final assessment may require inspection of the garment in person.

3. Enquiries and estimates

An enquiry is a request for information, not an accepted order or a confirmed appointment. Any estimate provided before physical inspection is indicative only and may change if the garment’s condition or construction differs from the information supplied. A service will proceed only after the scope, price, timing and any relevant conditions have been agreed.

We may decline work where the requested result is technically unsuitable, likely to damage the garment, outside the services offered or not reasonably achievable within the requested timeframe.

4. Garments and materials supplied by clients

You are responsible for providing accurate information about the garment, including known fabric composition, previous alterations, repairs, stains, damage and special care requirements. Please identify delicate trims, embellishments, coatings, linings or components that may affect the work.

For custom projects, client-supplied fabric and materials should be suitable for the intended design and provided in the agreed quantity. We will discuss foreseeable limitations, but we cannot guarantee the behaviour of a material where its composition, stability or prior condition is unknown.

5. Fittings, measurements and approvals

Measurements and fitting decisions are based on the garment, the body position and the intended way the piece will be worn. You should attend fittings in the shoes and layers relevant to the finished garment. Changes requested after a design, pattern, fitting or construction stage has been approved may require additional work, time or charges.

For custom sewing, the approved brief, measurements, fabric and design details form the basis of the project. Any material change should be discussed before work continues.

6. Timing and collection

Turnaround times are discussed when the scope of work is agreed. Timing may depend on the complexity of the garment, fitting requirements, material availability and the volume of work in progress. We will communicate material changes to an agreed schedule where reasonably possible.

Please arrange collection within a reasonable period after being notified that work is ready. Any storage arrangements or charges, if applicable, must be communicated and agreed in advance.

7. Prices and payment

Prices are based on the agreed scope, garment construction, materials and labour required. Additional work will be discussed before it is undertaken. Payment terms, deposits for custom projects, accepted payment methods and any applicable taxes will be confirmed at the time of agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due when the completed garment is ready for collection. A deposit may be required for projects involving pattern development, special materials or a substantial amount of dedicated work.

8. Cancellations and changes

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please provide as much notice as reasonably possible. For custom projects, work already completed, materials purchased specifically for the project and non-recoverable costs may remain payable where permitted by law and where the terms were disclosed before work began.

We will discuss the effect of a requested change on the price and completion date before proceeding with the revised work.

9. Care instructions and limitations

Alterations and repairs can change how a garment sits or behaves, but no repair can restore every fabric to its original condition. Older, weakened, brittle, heavily worn or previously damaged materials may remain vulnerable after work. We will explain visible limitations that are reasonably apparent during assessment.

After collection, follow the care instructions appropriate to the fabric and construction. If a concern arises about the agreed work, contact us promptly and describe the issue so it can be reviewed.

10. Website use and intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, website text, layout, graphics and original brand elements are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial reference. You must not reproduce, adapt, distribute or commercially exploit website material without prior written permission, except where the law permits.

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, or use the site in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

11. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review that policy to understand what information may be used in connection with enquiries and services. You should not include sensitive or unnecessary personal information in website messages.

12. External links

The website may refer to external resources for general convenience. We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or terms. Following an external link is your choice and subject to the terms of the destination website.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from use of the website or reliance on general website information.

For garment services, any responsibility will be assessed in light of the agreed scope, the condition and construction of the item, the information supplied before work began and applicable consumer protection law. These terms do not remove any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.

14. Governing law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Alberta, Canada, together with applicable federal laws of Canada. Mandatory consumer protection rules in your place of residence may also apply and will not be displaced where the law prohibits that result.

15. Changes and severability

We may update these terms when the website, services or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

16. Contact
